Range State Meeting on the Implementation and Revision of the International Single Species Action Plan for the Conservation of the Argali (Ovis ammon)

The Range States Meeting for the Argali (Ovis ammon) to update its International Single Species Action Plan (2025-2035) is planned to be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on September 12–13, 2024.  

The main objectives of this Range State Meeting are: 

• to review implementation of the International Single Species Action Plan for the period of 2014–2024; and 
• to update and agree on a new International Single Species Action Plan covering the period 2024–2032. 

The meeting is organized by the CMS Secretariat in cooperation with the Forestry and Wildlife Committee of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan, with funds provided by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the German Government within the framework of the Central Asian Mammals and Climate Adaptation (CAMCA) project. 

Participation in the meeting is upon invitation by the CMS Secretariat.

Встреча стран ареала архара (Ovis ammon) для обновления Международного плана действий по отдельным видам (2025–2035 гг.) состоится 12–13 сентября 2024 г. в г. Алматы, Казахстан.  

Основными целями встречи стран ареала являются:  

•  проанализировать выполнение Международного плана действий по сохранению архара за период 2014–2024 гг.  
•  обновить и согласовать новый Международный план действий по сохранению архара на период 2024–2032 гг.  

Встреча будет организована Секретариатом КМВ в сотрудничестве с Комитетом лесного хозяйства и животного мира Министерства экологии и природных ресурсов Республики Казахстан в рамках проекта «Адаптация Млекопитающих к Изменению Климата в Центральной Азии» (АМИК в ЦА), финансируемого Международной климатической инициативой (IKI) правительства Германии. 

Участие во встрече осуществляется по приглашению Секретариата КМВ.
